The End

This will be my last blog for this class and probably ever. Lead Your Way is a great class and there are many good things i would say, from the teacher to speakers to subject matter. I've enjoyed having talks with the class and learning what type of leader I am. The community service project was interesting to do but its a learning experience. i have said that i wouldnt have changed a thing i've done this year and its still true. i wouldnt trade my time at OU for anything, it has taught me a lot even though i've only been here a short amount of time. much i believe has been from such a good experience from this class even from day one. Kate's wise words and Clark's never ending emotions. i regretfully but excitedly have to say that i will not be attending OU next semester. While at OU I believe i have truly found my calling in life and after a few months of intense physical training i attend to enlist into the Air Force to become a Pararescue. they are the best of the best and a job i truly believe i will love. i fully understand that the road i have chosen is the one less, if at all, traveled by. it will be the hardest challenge in my life and it will push me to my limits and beyond. it is a huge leadership role and many people in the armed forces look up to the PJ's. i just felt like i should let everyone know what im going to do and would like to keep in touch with everyone. Lead my way has shown me the best way to lead and what kind of leader i am, a lion. haha but that probably was my favorite thing we've done in class. and so for the last time goodbye

Self Discipline

Right now in my life this topic is very relevant and important. I say that because i found what i want to do in my life but it will be the absolute most challenging thing that i have and will ever have to do. the job i want to do is not well known at all but i feel that is has called me to it. the job im referring to is a air force pararescue man. the best of the best you might say. this calls for a great deal of self discipline and motivation. i would say right now at this point those are my biggest weaknesses. i dont know what my motivation would or could be but i know that it will have to be close to my heart to push me through the almost two years training pipeline. im trying to get into the physical condition to make through the process but dont have the right self discipline to make it but i know with putting my mind to it and finding my motivation i can improve it. people that i look up to are my parents with their self discipline. both my mom and dad, my mom going back through six years of college for a masters keeping a 4.0 gpa the entire time and my dad working as hard as he does studying and making it to the superbowl last year. right now im accountable to myself and i will only hurt or help myself. here in a few years i will not only be accountable for myself but also for my team members.

My Mission Statement

I just wanted to say i enjoyed making this and it showed me what path i need to take

You now have the beginning of a mission statement built on a foundation of your values. You have more clarity into you want to be and to do in your life. You can also start to detect the values and principles upon which your life is based.

You can continue to write and revise your mission statement until you feel it reflects what you live for. You could also try going through the Freewrite section of this site to help you refine your mission and values, or you could visit the Get Inspired section for more ideas.

I am at my best when When i am leading something i love to do.
I will try to prevent times when i have no interest in something .
I will enjoy my work by finding employment where I can just being at a job i love to do.
I will find enjoyment in my personal life through shooting, working on cars, playing video games, meeting people, and hanging out with friends.
I will find opportunities to use my natural talents and gifts such as being a strong leader, shooting, tough decision making, and other things.
I can do anything I set my mind to. I will find what my one true passion is and do it without limits.
My life's journey is going through college for a degree i dont want in the darkness trying to find my passion for myself. .
I will be a person who my family, that i served my country well and was exceptional at what i did.
My most important future contribution to others will be to serve them by protecting their freedoms and knowing that they will support me with whatever i do in life, no matter what..

I will stop procrastinating and start working on:
  • yes, i have a strong feeling that the military is calling me and i should follow my feeling and heart to become one of the most highly trained operative in the world

I will strive to incorporate the following attributes into my life:
  • they have always been there for me and they have taught me everything i know
  • he is my closest friend and has contributed a lot to my life
  • i want to leave room for someone i havent met, eventhough the question doesnt call for it.

I will constantly renew myself by focusing on the four dimensions of my life:
  • keep working out and getting in a great physical condition. it helps and makes me feel good.
  • im really not that spiritual but i guess having god let me achieve my goals and dreams
  • to always be mentally aware and to never stop learning. to be a well rounded educated person
  • to have many friends but to find those close ones that will always be there for me and to find the special someone, someday

OU mission

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the University of Oklahoma is to provide the best possible educational experience for our students through excellence in teaching, research and creative activity, and service to the state and society.

this is the University of Oklahoma's mission statement to the students, faculty, and community. I see OU living this everyday but i dont think i am taking advantage of what the university offers as a student. the university is doing the things they say in their mission statement but i feel like somethings could be changed for the better, saying that i understand i am just a freshmen and haven't been through a lot. so im not particularly sure what the university would change but i know there is always room for improvement.

Who's Who

i know since i wasnt here last thursday i cant really write about those people and who i liked but i will write about someone in class that i think has taught me a few things. Clark or Kate are both great people that anyone would benefit from talking to. they are both informative and friendly people. also they might surprise you with some stuff you never knew. my advise to any upcoming freshmen would be to take lead your way or just go talk to either Kate or Clark. they will help point you in the right direction and help you stay on track during your college career.

Future at OU

I am about halfway through my first semester at OU and i really like it here. my future is really uncertain though. thats why i am here right now is to find what im passionate about and want to do in life. i honestly dont know what i want to do yet or if it will be at OU. so i would say for my future at OU im taking it one day at a time and seeking that which im passionate about and what career field that would be.

Attitude

attitude plays a role in not only in small groups but in individual tasks as well. you can say that attitude is the glue that holds everything together. the explanation behind that is if you dont want to do something or have a poor attitude about something then the tasks or assignment wont be completed. so for me i would say attitude is everything because attitude interacts with motivation and that effects everything about your life. my step dad has has influenced me because of his attitude he has towards life. he has taught me many things over the years i have known him that has for sure influenced my attitude.
